Second Street Festival Detours: October 3–4

Several GRTC routes will be detoured in downtown Richmond during the Second Street Festival on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4.

Street closures will be in effect from 4 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. both days, including 1st and 2nd streets between Broad and Jackson streets and portions of Marshall, Clay and Leigh streets.

Routes Affected

Detours will affect Routes 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 50, and 87.

Buses will serve temporary and permanent bus stops along their detoured routes. The Downtown Shuttle will not serve 3rd and Marshall during the detour.

Temporary Stops

Temporary stops will be available at:

• Adams Street and Pulliam Street – Route 1
• Chamberlayne Parkway between Jackson and Duval streets – Routes 1 and 2
• Jackson and 1st streets – Routes 1 and 2

Riders should allow additional travel time and use the Transit app for real-time bus information and trip planningduring the festival.
