New Uber Voucher Program Launching April 27
If your essential travel has been disrupted by the recent temporary service adjustments, you might be eligible to receive Uber ride vouchers through the Trip Voucher Program.
GRTC implemented temporary service adjustments on February 22, 2026, to improve service reliability and reduce last-minute bus trip cancellations, particularly during nights and weekends. The updates aligned scheduled service with available operators so trips that are scheduled are trips that run. And as additional operators are hired and complete GRTC’s rigorous training program, additional trips will be added to the schedule.
To qualify for an Uber voucher, riders must be traveling for work, medical appointments, or education. The vouchers are only valid during certain times which vary by route. Both the starting point and destination must be at bus stops on the same route.
Each trip is covered for up to $45. If the ride costs more than $45, riders can still book it and pay the difference.
The Trip Voucher Program is temporary, and will be adjusted as additional bus trips are added.
How It Works

Create Uber Account
Download the Uber app and create an account, if you don’t already have one.

Request Voucher
Complete this google form to request a voucher that will be added to your Uber account.

Request Your Ride
Book your ride in the Uber app. Riders can also call 1-833-USE-UBER to book a ride, however they need to already have an Uber account, and have filled out the google form to have the vouchers applied to their account.
