Look Before You Board: Green & Blue Buses Running Local/Express Routes

As GRTC transitions the Pulse Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) fleet to 60-foot articulated buses, riders will begin seeing the standard-sized blue and green buses serving local and express routes throughout the region. These buses still have years of useful service life remaining and, rather than retiring them early, GRTC is putting them to work where they're needed most. Repurposing these vehicles helps reduce waste and supports transit sustainability. During this transition, the standard-length buses previously used on Pulse are being reassigned to routes across the system. While Pulse decals have been removed, repainting is still ongoing. If a blue and green bus pulls up to your stop, be sure to check the destination sign as it may be serving a local or express route rather than Pulse.
