GRTC and City of Richmond Launch Developer Search for New Downtown Transfer Hub and Mixed Use Destination

RICHMOND, Va. — The City of Richmond and GRTC have officially taken the next major step toward building a new Downtown Transfer Hub, a modern, centralized space that will make riding easier, safer, and more convenient for thousands of people every day. The City’s Economic Development Authority and GRTC released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) today, inviting developers from across the country to compete for the opportunity to design and deliver the project. A virtual information session will be held December 1, and interested teams have until January 30, 2026, to submit qualifications.
