CARE Advisory Committee
Are you a CARE rider or a caretaker of a family member who uses CARE? We are creating the CARE Advisory Committee (CAC) to get your feedback so we can improve the experience of using CARE services. Committee members will share their personal experiences with CARE and provide feedback on service, communications, and major projects in addition to helping champion GRTC’s paratransit initiatives.

Eligibility:
- You, or someone under your care, must currently use GRTC’s CARE service, and have used it for a minimum of six months.
- You, or someone under your care, must be certified eligible for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Service.
- You must not currently hold political office. CAC members who pursue political office will automatically be disqualified to serve on CAC.
Application Process:
You can fill out a form online or download a printable PDF version of the application. Please answer every question, and, if hand writing your application, please write clearly.
Completed applications should be submitted no later than Tuesday, September 30. We thank you for your interest in the CARE Advisory Committee. If your application in selected, you will be contacted by a GRTC representative.

Rider Advisory Council

The Rider Advisory Council (RAC) is a volunteer advisory council to the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC). RAC is made up of 10 riders from Richmond, Henrico, and Chesterfield who use GRTC buses and microtransit. The RAC works with GRTC leadership to share ideas and feedback that help shape better transit solutions.
Members share their voices to support a strong public transit system for our region. The group meets four times a year, and members can serve up to three one-year terms. When there are open spots on the council, GRTC will make announcements online and on social media.
