TAP Into Transit Week

This October, GRTC invites the region to TAP Into Transit, a weeklong celebration of zero-fare public transportation and the community effort that sustains it.

In Fiscal Year 2025, GRTC provided more than 12 million rides, the highest ridership in our history! That record-breaking demand shows how vital zero-fare transit is for connecting workers to jobs, students to schools, patients to care, and families to opportunities across the region.

Launched this summer, the Transit Access Partnership (TAP) is GRTC’s initiative to raise $2 million annually toward the $6.8 million needed to continue zero-fare service. During TAP Into Transit Week, October 20–24, we’re working toward raising $100,000 by lifting up the stories of riders who depend on transit, neighbors discovering it for the first time, and community members and regional organizations stepping in to give.

Increased Ridership Helps Us Improve Service

Every ride you take on GRTC Pulse, local or express buses, and LINK Microtransit helps strengthen our system. More riders mean more funding opportunities and a stronger case to expand and improve service for everyone.

Encourage colleagues, friends, and neighbors to try transit, even for one day.
