Bus, Microtransit, and Early Morning Uber Service to RIC
GRTC provides three types of service to Richmond International Airport, all free under our Zero Fare policy.
High-frequency bus service from RIC to the Downtown Transfer Station is available on Routes 7A and 7B. Buses depart from the upper departure deck every 15 minutes. While the two routes serve different local stops, both end at the same downtown destination, where riders can connect to many other routes throughout the Richmond Region.
Travelers within GRTC’s Sandston Zone, which includes RIC, can request a ride on LINK, our curb-to-curb microtransit service. For more details, visit How to Ride LINK.
For early-morning trips between 4 AM and 6 AM, riders can use an Uber voucher for a ride from a GRTC bus stop to the airport.

The on-demand early morning airport connection is offered seven days a week. Riders can request one Uber ride per day between 4 AM and 6 AM traveling between a GRTC bus stop and Richmond International Airport, in either direction.
How It Works: Download Uber’s mobile app and use the link or scan the QR code to request a ride from a bus stop to the airport or from the airport to a designated bus stop.
