Care for Your Local Stop
Join RVA Rapid Transit’s Better Bus Stops program and take care of a bus stop in your neighborhood
What Are an Adopter’s Responsibilities?
You choose which stop to adopt and help keep it in good shape by checking in at least once a month for one year.
At your stop, you will pick up litter and report damage or safety concerns so that GRTC can respond quickly.

One Year Commitment,
Once a Month

Be a Bus Stop Hero
It’s a great opportunity for service hours, neighborhood pride, and making riders’ daily commutes more safe and comfortable.
Adopters will be given a start-up kit that include a high-visibility safety vest, and they will be recognized with an official adoption sign at their stop, which will display their name or a dedication of their choice.
Ready to Adopt?
You can adopt a bus stop near you through RVA Rapid Transit’s Better Bus Stop Program, which allows civic associations, organizations, and individuals to lend a hand in keeping bus stops clean and welcoming.
