Adopt-A-Stop

community bus stop

You can adopt a bus stop near you through RVA Rapid Transit’s Better Bus Stop Program, which allows civic associations, organizations, and individuals to lend a hand in keeping bus stops clean and welcoming. Volunteers help with simple upkeep tasks like picking up litter and reporting damage or safety so that GRTC can respond quickly.

You choose which stop to adopt and commit to checking on it regularly (at least once a month) for a year, and you will be recognized with an official adoption sign at your stop. It’s a great opportunity for service hours, neighborhood pride, and making riders’ daily commutes more safe and comfortable.
