Get Ready for TAP into Transit Day – July 8!

Big wheels are turning in Central Virginia and we want you on board!We’re celebrating with the region on TAP into Transit Day, happening Tuesday, July 8 at Main Street Station.This special event will mark two big milestones for our region: the official launch of our brand-new 60-foot articulated Pulse buses, and the debut of the Transit Access Partnership (TAP)—a community-driven effort to help keep GRTC zero fare.These articulated buses are built for the busy Pulse line, which saw nearly 1.7 million riders last year. With three doors for faster boarding and space for up to 122 riders, they’re designed to reduce crowding and support continued growth. TAP into Transit Day is more than a bus launch though, it’s a chance to celebrate how transit connects us, and to rally support for a zero-fare future across Central Virginia. CARE Tickets Must Be Presented For Each Ride

Under any circumstances, every ADA customer must present a ticket to ride the service.  A ticket must be provided for each ride for each rider, including children.  Only one child, under the age of 5, may be permitted to ride with a paying ADA customer.  Anyone who does not present a ticket may not be transported.
