GRTC Pulse: Bus Rapid Transit - Where We Are Now

Status Update (July 24, 2017):

Construction activities continue for the GRTC Pulse (Bus Rapid Transit) Project, performed by the Design-Build (DB) Contractor, Lane Construction. At this point, the Project Partners recognize that meeting the early completion goals by the end of 2017 is a challenge, but remains the contractor’s goal. The project is budgeted with monetary incentives to encourage this early completion. The project team continues to work with the contractor and is pushing to get the work completed as early as possible. June 30, 2018 remains the contractual fixed completion date. The project is on time and on budget.

A construction hotline is active at 804-980-0084, providing updates on construction and expected impacts. Construction activities for the GRTC Pulse (Bus Rapid Transit) Project began Tuesday, August 16 with utility work. Median station construction work began January 31, 2017. Frequent construction updates are being posted HERE. As always, work is weather and progress-dependent.
